Whenever someone utters the word LINQ, the first image that most developers seem to conjure is that of performing a data query. In this chapter, I showed you some of the pain of dealing with XML when using the existing W3C DOM XML API and some of the traditional cheats to avoid that pain. In the next chapter, I cover the LINQ to XML API. Using this API, I demonstrate how to create XML hierarchies in a fraction of the code possible with the W3C DOM XML API.
