But the granddaddy of disk management command-line tools is DISKPART. Table 11-1 summarizes the DISKPART commands that achieve common disk management tasks. Diskpart can be used interactively or can call a script. To start Diskpart interactively, type diskpart at the command prompt. When the Diskpart command prompt (DISKPART >) appears, type at any time for help. The command s built-in documen tation will appear automatically when needed to help you achieve the tasks you perform. Diskpart is also well documented in the Help And Support Center.

In addition to granting a permission, you can also specifically deny a permission (although this is not the recommended method of controlling access to resources). Denying a permission overrides all instances in which that permission is allowed. Even if a user has permission to access a file or folder as a member of a group, denying permission to the user blocks any other permissions the user might have (see Figure 8-1). In Figure 8-1, User1 has Read permission for FolderA and is a member of Group A and Group B. Group B has Write permission for FolderA. Group A has been denied Write permission for File2.

When a service sends a message over a conversation, Service Broker uses routes to locate the service to receive the message. When that service responds, Service Broker then uses routes to locate the initiator service. To determine the route for a conversation, SQL Server matches the service name and the broker instance identifier that you specified in the BEGIN DIALOG CONVERSATION statement against the service name and broker instance identifier that are specified in the route. If a route does not provide a service name or broker instance identifier, any service name or broker instance identifier can be a match. For services that do not have a route defined, each database has a default route called AutoCreatedLocal that ensures that messages are delivered within the current SQL Server instance.

The account that will run the task must have the Log On As A Batch Job user right in order to run a scheduled task. This right is normally added automatically when you create a scheduled task. If it is not, you should add the right to that account. See 16 for more information on user rights.
