A small number of themable functions are responsible for the overall layout and construction of a Drupal page, and they are most commonly implemented in custom themes. Here is a list of those functions and a short description of what they do: theme_page($content): Places $content in a complete HTML page. Typically, theme_page will call further themable functions to get additional output such as the blocks, status messages, and HTML headers. All custom themes implement their own version of theme_page.
