The zone to which a website is assigned specifies the security settings that IE uses for that site. You can choose websites to assign to the Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, or Restricted Sites zones. All other websites are assigned to the Internet zone. For example, if you have a list of websites that you visit and you completely trust those sites, add those sites to the Trusted Sites zone, or, if you are really confident about your judgment, to the Trusted Sites zones for the users you support. You can add a website to a security zone or configure the security settings by accessing Internet Options and selecting the Security tab. Figure 6-16 showed the Internet security zone.
